The Union College Club had the pleasure of welcoming Former President of Colombia, Álvaro Uribe Velez, at Harvard University. We were pleased to welcome him to The Union College Club in collaboration with Harvard's COLSA, and were delighted to have the opportunity to learn more about President Uribe's upbringing, political career, time in the presidency, unique insights, and discuss overall democracy in Latin America. We discussed the challenges that currently stare us in the face, those of which continue to resurface and those that will await us.

In collaboration with the Harvard Business School F1 Club, we hosted a fireside chat with Dennis De Munck, who traveled from Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello, Italy. As Ferrari’s Head of Employer Branding and University Partnerships, Mr. De Munck delved into Ferrari’s DNA, from its founding in 1939 by Enzo Ferrari through its rise as a symbol of luxury, engineering excellence, and performance to its ongoing legacy in motorsports and beyond.

The Union College Club had the pleasure of welcoming Rolf Lüders virtually, former Chilean Minister of Finance and Economy. A key figure among the "Chicago Boys," he played a pivotal role in the economic reforms that drove the "Miracle of Chile," transforming the country through privatization, deregulation, and trade liberalization.

In partnership with the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard, the Union College Club had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Roberto Alvo, CEO of LATAM Airlines—the largest airline in Latin America—to Harvard. We engaged in a discussion with Mr. Alvo about his background, leadership style, managing the company through a strategic restructuring, the role of technology in aviation, sustainability in the sector, and other key topics.

A reception followed, offering undergraduate students from seven universities, as well as graduate students from Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School, the opportunity to connect.

We hosted a private, members-only exclusive event at Brunello Cucinelli’s Newbury store, where we explored "How to Dress the Man" for the professional world—covering the dos and don’ts, wardrobe essentials, and more.

Attendees included Harvard & Northeastern undergraduates, alumni of Harvard Business School and the London School of Economics, as well as professionals from private equity, private wealth, consulting, tech, and beyond.
